High Profile Ridge Cap

What is it?

High profile ridge caps are made extra thick and strong by using a 5 layer tri-laminate design. They are more ridged and will provide more life than traditional hip and ridge caps.

Why do I need it?

A thicker hip and ridge cap is one of the best ways to enhance the look of your roof. The thick outline it provides makes a bold statement and adds a premium touch to your roof. They also are more resilient to the weather than the traditional style hip and ridge caps.

How much does it cost?

Depending on the roof it can range from 4%-6% of the total roof cost.

Ridge Vent

What is it?

Ridge vent is a better alternative to the traditional style roof vents. They allow air to escape along the entire length of the ridge. Made from resilient thermoplastic with UV inhibitors this vent system is strong and will provide a great visual look to any home.

Why do I need it?

Ridge Vent combines the stunning look of a high profile ridge cap with the functionality of a roof vent. Installed along most ridges it will complete the roof air exchange process with your ventialted soffit. Keeping the air in the attic moving will keep mold and mildew from forming and can help control the tempurature of the attic resulting in energy savings.

How much does it cost?

Depending on the roof it can range from 5%-10% of the total roof cost.

Rain Gutter Guards

What is it?

Gutter Guard is made from a stainless steel mesh that installs over the gutters and under the shingles to allow water in but blocks out any debris that could potentially clog the gutters. 

Why do I need it?

Gutter guards will keep the water flowing through the gutter system and safely down to the ground through the downspouts. Clogged gutters can result in ice damming in the winter months which can lead to costly repair down the road. Gutter guards are typically installed on homes that have large trees nearby and in heavily wooded neighborhoods.

Low-E Reflective Underlayment

What is it?

Therma-Sheet is an energy saving alternative to traditional underlayment. It provides excellent thermal and moisture protection under metal roofing, stone coated steel, clay tile and composite shingles. Therma-Sheet provides an excellent thermal break that can lower temperatures below your roof deck 8-12 degrees. Therma-Sheet reflects up to 97% of the radiant heat that is normally transferred into the attic by super-heated roofing materials, significantly reducing attic heat gain. Conversely, Therma-Sheet prevents heat loss through the attic during colder months, all of which reduces heating and cooling costs for homeowners..

The grand Canyon takes the features of the Grand Sequoia and build upon them with a much thicker construction. This is GAF's thickest shingle they make. The resulting look is absolutly stunning.
